  • Amanda Stan – Singer/Songwriter, Former Singing Student

Amanda Stan: From a Reigning Figure Skater to a Rising Professional Singer/Recording Artist!

Our former Singing Student Amanda Stan…

When and where had all of this started…?

Let’s see Amanda’s journey from how she was evolving to where she is now.

Amanda came to us in 2019, referred by Romanian Singer, now PR Agent, Rucsandra-Maria, who was originally Diana’s Voice Repair Client and Vocal Student in 2008/2009 and out of achieving great results herself, she referred Amanda (who in the process became her client) to Diana for her Masterclasses designed to make even complete beginners to evolve into professional singers.

Amanda embarked on 30 hours of individual instruction and attended a couple of group workshop summits during the time of the private sessions with Diana.

Amanda is a former figure skater and, nonetheless, twice became a junior champion of Romania.

She did tell me from the start that she would like to become a professional singer, so on that premise, we started working towards it.

Then the Pandemic hit and everything abruptly got stopped.

However, Amanda had sent me a referral student from whom I found out that Amanda participated in Romanian Idol and made it to the Semi-Finals.

However, there too, was no luck, as because of the pandemic… that competition got cancelled.

We uncovered a few pictures from our workshops with Amanda in them.

Unfortunately, at the moment, we cannot find her pictures and videos from the private sessions.

When it becomes available to us, we will be happy to share it with you.

We find her journey very inspirational and her as a role model, pertaining to her new and improved image, and new and improved voice, leading her to her dream of becoming a well-known professional singer.

    Way to go Amanda!

Please see below how Amanda’s journey had begun:

  • Non-Surgical Voice Repair And A Revolutionary Approach To Voice Mechanics For Singers And Speakers:

Non-Surgical Voice Repair And A Revolutionary Approach To Voice Mechanics For Singers And Speakers

Learn about repairing vocal damage and vocal related problems through the use of the Vocal Science™ method. We advocate a unique, holistic, and non-invasive approach to voice mechanics, using specific speech and singing exercises coupled with the use of natural herbs and remedies.

Poor vocal technique and lack of knowledge of proper biomechanics in singing and in speech can cause tremendous damage to your vocal anatomy. Some of these conditions can develop into nodes, nodules, polyps, vocal cord paralysis (paresis), cysts, muscle tension dysphonia, or spasmodic dysphonia – thus jeopardizing or even ending one’s singing or speaking career. These conditions are even plaguing some of the top 40 singers and even a “prominent computer company CEO” comes to mind. According to the founder of the Vocal Science™ method, Diana Yampolsky, vocal injuries deemed by traditional medical professionals as “irreparable,” can actually be non-surgically repaired.

Take the case of throat cancer survivor Tim Bristol of Niagara Falls, NY. The doctors and experts told him he would not be able to sing post–throat cancer surgery and that according to them, “Nothing can be done; be happy with what you have left.” Meanwhile, after 10 hours of the Vocal Science method advocating non-surgical voice repair instruction and natural herbal treatment, as well as participating in an additional 10 hours of instruction (in a group vocal workshop), Tim exclaimed “Diana, You had proved all those doctors wrong! My voice is getting better and better every day and all the time!”

Take the case of Bob Harris, a professional singer who has worked with the likes of Frank Zappa, Steve Vai, and Axe. However, over the years, Bob had suffered from significant voice issues – one of which were pre-nodules on both vocal cords. His post-course letter speaks for itself.

“Diana Yampolsky has created the most unique and effective method of vocal repair/teaching I have ever encountered – the claims made are true, results do happen within hours, not days or months. I have worked with her and the results have been all that I had hoped for and more – and those results continue to multiply and grow – after studying with her you also leave with the tools needed for maintaining and continuing your vocal growth and repair. One of the things that I, and I’m sure others, wondered about before working with her was if her method and results could be accomplished by video-conferencing (Skype, FaceTime, etc.) but minutes into the first session I realized that was not possible and that it’s an in-person training on a much deeper level that necessitates Diana being with the student. I can’t thank Diana enough for what she’s done and I highly recommend anyone suffering from vocal issues, especially those looking at a diagnosis of vocal surgery to check her out. I am only one of the thousands of voices she has helped to keep from being silenced and I am eternally grateful.”

Take the case of former, non-surgical voice (speech) repair client, Elizabeth Hines – C.N.C., C.B.P., Spasmodic Dysphonia sufferer-Holistic Wellness Practitioner,

“A Christmas Miracle!!! Last night I was able to sing Christmas carols at church for the first time in years without a strangled voice. The non-surgical voice repair exercises have really paid off.”

And lastly, take the case of Keiko Gutierrez – a professional bass player/aspiring singer.

“I’m a musician first, who likes to sing – I have gone to see Ms. Yampolsky and I found that her approach is quite unique in that she uses much more than just simple breathing and posture techniques to help you to improve your singing. She uses anatomy and biomechanics to get your body to produce better sound… without injury. I usually feel sore after singing for a while. She had me singing for over an hour and I had no pain in my vocal cords at all. The most fascinating thing about Diana is her incredible ear. She can hear – even over the phone – whether you have a vocal injury or not, and can usually tell what type it is. Then she either fixes it or tells you why she can’t (there seems to be very little that she can’t fix.)”

Conventional wisdom (or lack thereof) suggests “pushing” the vocal anatomy to the max (while training or performing). This often results in vocal damage and, with medical experts often responding by saying “Take a vocal rest,” which does nothing to promote any healing whatsoever. Vocal injuries, left untreated, can often turn into more serious or even life-threatening problems such as permanent vocal paralysis or even cancer in rare cases. However, speakers and singers can take relief knowing that there is a professional, non-surgical approach to voice repair using specific speech and singing exercises as well as natural herbs and remedies.

Diana Yampolsky‘s Vocal Science™ and The Royans Professional Vocal School, since 1984, has harboured by now, an estimated 30,000, students, singers, speakers, voice repair clients from all walks of life and places including USA, UK, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong and the whole world at large.  For more information, testimonials and for Before and After videos of vocal instruction, please visit the “Post-Course Letters” section of the Vocal Science site. or read her book, Vocal Science – Flight to the Universe at www.amazon.com

  • Part 3 – Your “Top Vocal Coaches” had said to you: “We don’t know how to bring your voice back to normal and also how to improve your speaking and singing…” We said… “TRY US!”

    – Part 3 –

Jon S of Detroit USA, came to us in the early part of this year stating exactly what the title reveals. Nevertheless, Jon was a musician and singer for most of his adolescent and his adult life.

About 20 years ago, Jon began experiencing some vocal problems (vocal cord strain, vocal fatigue and, discovered-by-me, what appeared to be broken cartilage somewhere in his vocal anatomy and in close proximity to his vocal cords). It came to the point that he was contemplating quitting the music business altogether – especially after he was extremely disappointed with visiting so-called top vocal coaches and even some speech therapists and speech pathologists. He spent a lot of money, but with no avail. Unfortunately for Jon, nobody knew how to recover his quite lower throat-positioned voice.

I can compare it with the person who had drowned (like Whitney Houston and her daughter) in the bathtub.

Jon’s voice, thankfully enough, did not “drown” too deeply.

So, with my knowledge, experience and expertise, it took only 10 to 12 hours of instruction and light treatment via natural herbal remedies, to recover his voice and “bring it to the surface”, so to speak. After that, we had spent the remaining part of the 20-hour course on actually teaching him how to sing properly (using the right application of his voice, while concurrently employing my absolutely unique and revolutionary vocal technique); which in turn, and nonetheless, allows the human speaking and singing voice to work in its fullest capacity possible and with no pain or strain on the vocal anatomy whatsoever.

It is a proven and well-known fact that the Vocal Science(TM) Method and technique does guarantee our clients the health and safety of the speaking and singing voice for a lifetime!

Jon’s case was fairly easy for me to solve.

People who come to me with much more difficult voice/vocal disorders would definitely need more time and effort to be employed (from both parties); as opposed to Jon, some of them had, unfortunately, “drowned” their voices to the point of reaching the “bottom of the ocean”, metaphorically speaking.

Needless to say, it is vastly different from “drowning in the bathtub”…

The above is specifically addressed to people who have been diagnosed with an intermediate voice disorder called Muscle Tension Dysphonia, and It is even more so addressed to people who possess a quite severe disorder which is called  Spasmodic Dysphonia…

Now, going back to Jon’s story…

10 years after his ordeal with health and voice professionals, Jon (for the last time) decided to seek help one more time again and stumbled upon our organization. He came to us two times to obtain (in total, 20 hours of instruction and light natural herbal treatment).

After the first 10 hours, Jon exclaimed:

“Diana, I am looking forward to our next session together. With your guidance, I have made some noticeable improvements since my first time working with you and am working my way back to heal my voice from the damage I’ve inflicted upon myself after singing improperly all these years. See you soon!”Jon S

After the next 10 hours, Jon revealed:

Hi Diana, I was singing today and said to myself, ‘that sounds pretty freaking good! Holy crap!– Jon S

So one more time again, we saved someone’s soul and someone’s voice… whereas everyone else had failed to realize Jon’s dream to get him back on stage to do what he loves most.

Way to go Jon! Keep on Rockin’ Man!
